Joan Moore

Funeral services for Joan Moore, 80, Dodge City, formerly of Sublette, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Nazarene, Sublette, with Dr. Bill Thomas presiding. Burial will be in Haskell County Cemetery, Sublette.
Mrs. Moore died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010, at her home.
She was born Feb. 15, 1930, in Sublette, the daughter of Ellsworth C. and Martha Henrietta Dye Creeden. She was a lifelong resident of the Sublette area.
Mrs. Moore cooked at restaurants for many years and also worked as a sales clerk. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the Christian Church in Sublette.
She married Homer Robert Moore Jr. on Aug. 27, 1950, in Clayton, N.M. He preceded her in death in 1975.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Brenda Nichols; an infant daughter, Yvonne Moore; an infant son, Jerry Moore; three brothers, Dorsey G., Bob and Jack Creeden; and a sister, Wanda West.
Survivors include two sons, Bruce Moore and wife Judy, Fort Worth, Texas, and Scott Moore and wife Sheryl, Lawrence; a daughter, Becky Moore, Dodge City; three brothers, Bill Creeden and wife Elsie, Pensacola, Fla., Ben Creeden, Garden City, and Jim Creeden and wife Gladys, Sublette; three sisters, Nita Sunderland, Satanta, Janie Dewall, Coldwater, and Mary Allingham and husband Tom, Lakeside, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Friday at Haskell County Funeral Home, Sublette.
