Norman Clark Younger 1944 - 2010 Tonganoxie
“Bud” Norman Clark Younger, Tonganoxie, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2010, at Shawnee Mission Hospital.
Bud was born November 22, 1944, in St. Joseph, Missouri, and moved to Tonganoxie, Ks, in 1969. He graduated from Christian Brothers High School in 1962 and received an associate’s degree from St Joseph Junior College. Being adventurous he left to travel Europe on a motorcycle for 9 months, visiting 13 countries.
He left Roadway in 1994 to have more time to operate his rental, real estate and farming business. He loved flying his Cessna and Taylorcraft airplanes along with riding motorcycles — you name it, he did it.
He is survived by his wife Nancy of 42 years, two daughters, Juli Hurley and Casey High, four granddaughters, Mya and Brooke Hurley, Taylor and Riley High. Three sisters, Kay Mallon, Connie Swymeler, Kim Fitzpatrick, and many nieces and nephews.
A rosary was at 4:00 p.m. followed by visitation from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 8, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Tonganoxie. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 on Monday, August 9, 2010, at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow at Holy Angels Cemetery, Tonganoxie.
