Leeann Cowhig, 60, of Lawrence, Kansas, died Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Private family services will be held and a public memorial service will be at a later date.
She was born June 29, 1950, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Randolph Mulford and Violet Rozel (Werner) Woelk.
Ms. Cowhig attended public schools in Wichita, Kansas. She moved to Lawrence from Olathe 15 years ago.
She worked for over 20 years as a sales representative in the city directory business.
She is survived by one daughter, Lynn Viscioni of Little Rock, Arkansas; one son, Shane Cowhig of Tacoma, Washington; three brothers, Larry Woelk, of London, England, Lewis Woelk of Boston, Mass-achusetts, and Richard Woelk of Seattle, Washington; her father, Randolph, of Wichita, Kansas; and grandchildren Lance Viscioni, Jordan Cowhig and Sharmaigne Cowhig.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Lawrence Humane Society, and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
