Allan K. Loria

Allan K. Loria passed away Aug. 5, 2010, at his home surrounded by family and friends.
Al was born Aug. 6, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, to Morris (Mike) Loria and Olive (Belesky) Loria.
Al served with Naval Aviation in Okinawa and the Philippines. He returned in 1968, as a civilian working for Lear Siegler in Japan and Vietnam with his longtime friend Larry Harrison of Eureka Springs, Ark.
Al worked for a number of years as a stoned mason.
He is survived by his wife, Cyrilla (Gilroy) Loria; brother David (Karen); sisters-in-law Judi, Collette, Carolyn (Rick), Cathy, and Connie (Chip); his brothers-in-law, J.C. (Linda) and Jim (Sheri); his mother-in-law, Pauline Gilroy; and stepmother, Marilyn Scott-Loria.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jerry and brother-in-law Randy Johnson.
He was “Uncle Al, the kiddies’ pal” to an abundance of nieces and nephews: Tiffini, Melanie, Stephanie, Erin, Tyler, Brett, Bill, Daniel, Kirsten, Kayla and Kathryn, as well as 11 great-nieces and nephews.
Al also leaves his faithful companion, Forrest.
Al enjoyed music, dancing, good company and good times. “He had friends from shore to shore, and in between many more.”
There will be a celebration of life announced at a later date.
