Roger Kennedy Moffet

Graveside service for Roger Kennedy Moffet, 78, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Norton Cemetery.
Mr. Moffet died Friday, July 30, 2010, at Center Point Medical Center, Independence, Mo.
He was born Sept. 30, 1931, in Norton, the son of Melvin and Dorothy Moffet. He graduated from Norton High School in 1948.
Mr. Moffet attended Kansas University. He moved to Lawrence in 1955 from Williamsburg, Va., where he served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Moffet was in the automobile business in Lawrence from 1957 to 2010. He was a member of the Sports Car Club of America, the Kansas Pilots Association, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
He married Joan Donovan on June 7, 1953, in Norton. She preceded him in death on Nov. 4, 2007.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey, Lawrence, and Mark and wife Shelly, Topeka; a brother, Michael, Lawrence; a sister-in-law, Leta Donovan, Norton; and three grandchildren, Paige, Hunter and Chase.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
