Connor Olson

Connor Olson, 18, Tonganoxie, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at his home, after fighting cancer for more than a year. While his journey took its toll on his physical body, his spiritual and emotional presence was only emboldened as the fight continued. His courage and strength never wavered and he passed peacefully from this life surrounded by family and friends.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2010, at the Tonganoxie Christian Church, 204 Washington St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at the church. Burial will follow in Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie.
Connor was born on March 12, 1992 in Kansas City, MO, and grew up in Tonganoxie. He was active in the Boy Scout Troop 357 and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in October 2009. At Tonganoxie High School, Connor played on the soccer and football teams and was a member of the National Honor Society. He was also a member of the United Methodist Church, Tonganoxie.
Survivors include his parents, Martin and Sandy Olson; two brothers, Quinten and Dylan Olson, and one sister, Shannon Olson, all of the home; paternal grandfather and stepgrandmother, Merlin and Carol Olson, Celebration, FL; paternal grandmother and stepgrandfather, Eileen and William Jellison, Edgewater, MD; and maternal grandmother and stepgrandfather, Nancy and Steve Prosser, Tulsa, OK; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
