Betty Lou Hase

Funeral services for Betty Lou Hase, 79, Topeka, will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 S.W. 10th, Topeka. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
She died Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at Midland Hospice House.
She was born Jan. 30, 1931, in Topeka, the daughter of Harvey and Mildred Moeller Koehler. She graduated from Berryton Rural High School.
She had worked for a brief time at Tevis’ Restaurant but spent the majority of her life as a homemaker and foster parent to numerous children.
She enjoyed volunteering at the Salvation Army store and playing bingo with her friends.
She married Arthur Albert Hase in 1949 in Carbondale. He died Aug. 18, 2003.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Sexton and husband Mitchell, Berryton; two sons, Allen Hase and wife Kristin, Lawrence, and David Hase, Granite Shoals, Texas; four grandchildren, Heather Flores, Michael Godfrey Jr. and Sara and Jessica Hase; and seven great-grandchildren, Arthur, Michael, Elias, Alexia, Gabriel, Peyton and Belén.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
