Melvin Eugene Biggers

Memorial services for Melvin Eugene Biggers, 72, of the Williamstown community of Perry, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Lawrence Funeral Chapel. Cremation is planned.
Mr. Biggers, formerly of Lawrence, died Monday, April 19, 2010, at the home of a daughter in Williamstown.
He was born Oct. 12, 1937, in Humboldt, the son of Leonard and Alta Berta Lathrom Biggers. He had lived in Lawrence most of his life.
Mr. Biggers was a mechanic and cab driver for the Yellow Cab Company in Lawrence for many years. He was a member of the Lawrence Baptist Temple.
Survivors include two sons, Lonnie Biggers, Topeka, and Danny Biggers, Winchester; two daughters, Debbie Mooney, Williams-town, and Jean Felton, Ozawkie; one brother, Francis Biggers, and one sister, Faye Kryzinski, both of Ivy Bend, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
The family will meet friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.
