Carolyn Campbell Wagstaff

Memorial services for Carolyn Campbell Wagstaff, 77, formerly of Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lawrence. A private inurnment will be held before the service in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Wagstaff died Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Village Shalom in Leawood.
She was born July 12, 1932, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of William J. Jr. and Ardelle Britt Campbell.
She was a graduate of Sunset Hill and received a bachelor of science degree in bacteriology from Kansas University. She was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.
She lived in Mission Hills for more than 20 years before moving to Lawrence in 1984. While living in Kansas City, she was a member of the Junior League of Kansas City and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, and she was a former member of Mission Hills Country Club. During her years in Lawrence, she was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, PEO, the Bert Nash Endowment Board, the Countryside Garden Club and Lawrence Country Club.
She married Richard H. Wagstaff Jr. on Oct. 9, 1954, in Kansas City, Mo. He preceded her in death Sept. 26, 2006.
Survivors include her son, Richard H. Wagstaff III and wife Bridget; two daughters, Carolyn Gerwick and husband Charles, and Jennifer Arbanas and husband Michael; six grandchildren, Richard H. Wagstaff IV, Britt and Hannah Gerwick, and Jake, Frank and Luke Arbanas; her sister, Margaret Campbell Fligg and brother-in-law Kenneth I. Fligg Jr.; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joanna W. Kline and Duane M. Kline; a brother-in-law, Charles G. Wagstaff; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
