Sabetha — Funeral services for Judith A. Romines, 62, Sabetha, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 806 Main St., Sabetha. Burial will be in Sabetha Cemetery.
Mrs. Romines died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at her home after a battle with cancer.
She was born Jan. 30, 1947, in Lawrence, the daughter of Leroy and Ruth Coleman Buerman.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, camping and spending time with her cat, Missy.
She married John W. Romines on June 6, 1964. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two adopted sons, John D. Romines and wife Rebecca, Sabetha, and Jeffrey W. Romines, Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Ronnie Buerman and wife Shirley, Lawrence; a sister, Lois Galyardt, Topeka; six grandchildren, Kyle, Jordan, Jessica, Tristan, Grant and Micah Romines; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Diane Buerman and Sandy Alverson.
The family will meet friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Popkess Mortuary Chapel, Sabetha.
