Kathleen Lynn Anderson Finn 1948 - 2009 Olathe
Kansas City, Mo. — A Mass of Christian Burial for Kathleen Lynn Anderson Finn, 61, Olathe, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 3934 Washington St., Kansas City, Mo. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, just west of Lawrence in Big Springs.
Mrs. Finn died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, from cancer.
She was born May 1, 1948, in Topeka, the daughter of Leo and Henrietta Anderson. She was a 1966 graduate of Mount Carmel Academy in Wichita.
Mrs. Finn was a lifelong teacher and taught at schools in Texas, Wichita, and at the Kansas School for the Deaf in Olathe for the last 37 years. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Kansas State University and a master’s degree from Kansas University.
Survivors include her husband, Larry; two sons, Chris and Daniel; her parents; a brother and sister-in-law, Andy and Sharon Anderson; a daughter-in-law, Leah Finn; a granddaughter, Madelyn; and four nephews, Rob and Mark Anderson and Brian and David Gillespie.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Road, Olathe.
