Richard Eugene Wash

Memorial services for Richard Eugene Wash, 50, Topeka, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at El Shaddai Ministries Church of God in Christ. He was cremated.
Mr. Wash died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.
He was born March 28, 1959, in Lawrence, the son of Floyd Richard Wash and Beverly Jean Aldridge-Wash-Sowell.
Mr. Wash attended Topeka public schools and graduated from Highland Park High School. He worked as a certified nursing aide for more than 25 years.
He married Toni Wash. They divorced but remained lifelong friends. He later married Lisa Mosley in Denver. Both women survive.
Other survivors include his stepfather, Johnathan Sowell, Topeka; his stepmother, Wanda Wash, Topeka; two sons, Christopher and Michael Shaw, both of Topeka; four daughters, Samantha Mattox, Ashley Wash and Tracy Blackwell, all of Topeka, and Madison Wash, Lawrence; two stepdaughters, Angela KayHill, Philadelphia, and Rana KayHill-Kemp, Topeka; two brothers, William Thomas, Lawrence, and Dwight Thomas, Kansas City, Kan.; five sisters, Mary Clark, Carol Wash and Shirley Wash, all of Omaha, and Tanya Parham and Myisha Thompson, both of Topeka; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Linda Hayes and Pamela Austin; and a brother, Floyd.
The family suggests memorials to the Richard Eugene Wash Memorial Fund, sent in care of Educational Credit Union, Topeka.
