Margaret Lucille Bookout

Graveside services for Margaret Lucille Bookout, 84, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Underwood Cemetery in Jefferson County.
Mrs. Bookout died Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 1, 1925, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Elmer Ellsworth and Sophronia Olive Duncan Taylor.
Mrs. Bookout was a member of First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling, family vacations, camping, fishing and boating. She also received the Good Neighbor Award at Babcock Place.
She married Forrest James Bookout on Oct. 30, 1944, in Lawrence. He died Sept. 1, 2006.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen D. Pearson, Lawrence, and Janet M. Hanson and husband Keith, Olathe; four grandchildren, David and Christina Hanson, Diana Brown and Sheryl Pearson-Rector; and two great-grandchildren, Zachary James Brown and Nicholas Taylor Brown.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where family will receive them from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday.
The family suggests memorials to the Special Olympics Olathe Trailblazers, sent in care of the funeral home.
