Phyllis Arlene O’Neil

Wellsville — Funeral services for Phyllis Arlene O’Neil, 83, Wellsville, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wilson’s Funeral Home, 607 Main St., Wellsville. A private family burial will be later.
Mrs. O’Neil died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at Olathe Medical Center.
She was born May 18, 1926, in Topeka, the daughter of Charles W. and Ora Bell Cramer Seyler. She grew up in Topeka with her family until moving to the Wellsville area around her middle school years. She graduated from Wellsville High School in 1944.
Mrs. O’Neil attended Kansas University for one year. She began working at Baker University in 1966. She was the administrative assistant to the vice president of student services until she retired in May 1991.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, writing, gardening and working with her computer.
She married Frank Glenn O’Neil on April 14, 1946. They shared 63 years of marriage. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Roger O’Neil and wife Marcia, and Rick O’Neil and wife Colleen, all of Wellsville; a daughter, Janine Dwyer and husband Larry, Wellsville; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a niece; and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Vallis.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
