Edwin L. Poeverlein

Glendive, Mont. — Funeral services for Edwin L. “Eddie” Poeverlein, 56, will be at 2 p.m. today in the Chapel of Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home in Glendive. Burial will follow in the Dawson County Cemetery in Glendive.
Mr. Poeverlein died Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, in Glendive.
He was born Nov. 17, 1952, in Lawrence, Kan., the son of William Henry and Gwendolyn Elnora Gray Poeverlein. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1971.
Mr. Poeverlein worked for Halliburton in Montana and later worked various construction jobs while living in Kansas for six years. He and his family returned to Montana in 1994. He worked as a cook for the last six years.
He married Alice Curtis on Sept. 14, 1974. They divorced in 1979. He later married Carol Weigum. She survives.
Other survivors include four children, Robin Heinrich and Leatha and Chase Poeverlein, all of Glendive, and Jennifer Clark, Cape Girardeau, Mo.; a stepson, Jeremiah Beall, Yakima, Wash.; a sister, Judy Phelps, Spanaway, Wash.; three brothers, David, Melvern, Kan., Bill, Thayer, Kan., and Roger, Eudora, Kan.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. before services today at the funeral home.
