Jean Lee Lauber

Eudora — Funeral services for Jean Lee “Dusty” Lauber, 83, Eudora, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary Eudora Chapel. Private inurnment will be at a later date in the Eudora Cemetery.
Mrs. Lauber died Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at the Medicalodges Eudora.
She was born Oct. 22, 1925, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Joseph P. and Marie Friedrich Leavendusky.
Mrs. Lauber was a homemaker. She received a nursing degree from Bethany Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. She worked as a cadet nurse during World War II and later as a nurse at Bethany Hospital.
She was a member of the Eudora United Methodist Church and the Jolly Dozen Pinochle Club.
She married Dr. Leo E. Lauber on June 2, 1950, in Kansas City, Kan. He died Aug. 13, 2008.
Survivors include five sons, Mark and wife Kim, Chris, David, Rick, and Tim and wife Shelley, all of Eudora; a daughter, Joy Lauber, Eudora; and 13 grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, Beau, Cody, Christina, Audrey, Kathryn, Megan, Bailey, Cameron, Kaitlyn, Dylan and Gracelynn.
The family suggests memorials to the Crossroads Hospice or to the Medicalodges Eudora, sent in care of the mortuary.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday before the services at the mortuary.
