Charles Baker

Tonganoxie — Funeral services for Charles “Jerry” Baker, 78, Tonganoxie, will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. Burial will follow in Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie.
Mr. Baker died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, at his home.
He was born Aug. 27, 1931, in Tonganoxie, the son of Charles and Ann Robbins Baker. He was a 1950 graduate of Tonganoxie High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Mr. Baker owned Baker & Sons Grocery Store in Tonganoxie.
He married Dorothy Kelly. She preceded him in death in 1989. He married Denise Olson on Aug. 27, 1994, in Leavenworth. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include three sons, Greg, McLouth, Gerald, Kansas City, Kan., and Gary, Overland Park; a brother, Jim, Huntsville, Ala.; a sister, Joyce Copeland, Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
The family will receive friends from noon until the service time Sunday.
