Hazel E. Rodecap 1915 - 2009 Meriden

Meriden — Graveside services for Hazel E. Rodecap, 94, Meriden, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Meriden Cemetery.
Mrs. Rodecap died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009, at Hickory Pointe Care Center in Oskaloosa.
She was born Jan. 27, 1915, in rural Meriden, the daughter of Henry Foster and Delilah Becker Binney. She was a lifelong resident of the Meriden area.
Mrs. Rodecap was a homemaker and farmer’s wife. She was a 1933 graduate of Meriden High School and a 1937 graduate of Kansas University’s School of Journalism. She also attended Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia.
She married Marvin R. Rodecap on Oct. 28, 1935, in Oskaloosa. He died April 23, 1984.
Survivors include three sons, Dwain, Darrel and Donald Rodecap, all of Meriden; two grandsons; and a great-granddaughter.
