Mary Kay Stech 1930 - 2009 Andale
Andale — A funeral Mass for Mary Kay Stech, 79, Andale, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Andale, with the Rev. Reinhard Eck officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Andale.
Mrs. Stech died Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, in Andale.
She was born May 1, 1930, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of Dr. Daniel and Gertrude Hook Delehant. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in English and journalism from Creighton University and worked at KFAB radio station in Omaha, Neb. Mrs. Stech was also a homemaker and longtime Via Christi Hospital volunteer.
She married Dr. Joseph M. Stech on June 14, 1952. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include three sons, Mike and wife Randy, Marysville, Dan and wife Susanne, Castle Rock, Colo., and Dr. John Stech, Milwaukee; three daughters, Mary Pat Pellett and husband David, Lawrence, Kathy Williamson and husband Lonnie, Conifer, Colo., and Dana Eastes and husband Eddie, Manhattan; 12 grandchildren, Jay and Alexis Stech, Joel, Jake and Ian Eastes, Will and Nick Pellett, Levi, Brooks and Grant Williamson, and Anthony and Joseph Stech; and a great-granddaughter, Natalie Stech.
She was preceded in death by a son, Joe, and a grandson, Sawyer Williamson.
A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Andale.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Wulf-Ast Mortuary in Mount Hope.
