Raymond A. Teichmann

Funeral services for Raymond A. Teichmann, 79, Lawrence, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Teichmann died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 31, 1930, in Atchison, the son of Adolph and Hazel Coffey Teichmann.
Mr. Teichmann was a corporal in the U.S. Army. He served as a telecommunications specialist stationed in Hawaii during the Korean War.
Mr. Teichmann had self-employed in sales at L.B. Price, and later worked at Packer Ware. He was employed and retired as a custodian from Kansas University.
He married Julia M. McBride on July 19, 1960, in St. Joseph, Mo. She died Dec. 25, 1999.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Leroy, in December 2008.
Survivors include four sons, Roger Lee, Lonney Ray and Kenneth Allen, all of Lawrence, and Christopher Paul and wife Krystal, Leavenworth; two sisters, Audry Stanton, California, and Connie Chalfant, Easton; 11 grandchildren, Brian, Laura, Anthony, Rachelle, Keith, Lindsay, Kristin, Tracy, Kurtis, Wendi and Cory; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will meet friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to Alzheimer’s Association, Heart of America Chapter, sent in care of the mortuary.
