Elijah Dakota Cullison 1998 - 2009 Lawrence
Funeral services for Elijah Dakota “Eli” Cullison, 11, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church in Lawrence. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
He died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
He was born July 8, 1998, in Lawrence, the son of Phillip and Rachel Bachman Cullison.
He was a student at Prairie Park School and formerly at Kennedy School in Lawrence. He enjoyed motocross racing and was a member of Boy Scouts and Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church. He was active in Boys and Girls Club.
He is survived by his parents and two brothers, Micah and Isaiah, of the home; maternal grandmother, Judy Bachman, Lawrence; paternal grandmother, Deborah Yocum, Oregon; paternal grandparents, Rex and Cindy Cullison, Humbolt; maternal great-grandparents, James and Georgia Bachman, Lawrence; paternal great-grandparents, Melvin and Sandy Sewell, Tonganoxie; and many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Michael Davis, and great-grandmother, Mary Catherine Johnson.
The family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to the Elijah Dakota Cullison Memorial Fund, sent in care of the mortuary.
