Kirk Lee Douglass 1956 - 2009 De Soto
Funeral services for Kirk Lee Douglass, 53, De Soto, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Douglass died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, at the Hillside Village of De Soto.
He was born Feb. 15, 1956, in Chicago, the son of Lee Seymour and Shirley Marguerite Gerry Douglass.
Mr. Douglass moved to Lawrence in 1958 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lawrence. For 17 years, he worked as a production operator for Cottonwood Inc.
Survivors include his father, Lee, Eudora; three brothers; Toby, Gardner, Stephen, Houston, and Nathan, El Paso, Texas; and three sisters, Debbie Adhikary, Katmandu, Nepal, Sarah Albright, Fort Worth, Texas, and Rachel Hunt, Shawnee.
The family suggests memorials to a fund in Mr. Douglass’ name, sent in care of the funeral home, 601 Ind., Lawrence, KS 66044.
