Lola Jean Jones 1938 - 2009 Lawrence
A graveside service for Lola Jean Jones, 71, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Eudora Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at Midland Hospice House, Topeka.
She was born July 9, 1938, in Osawatomie, the daughter of Jess and Delvina Bates Evans.
Mrs. Jones graduated from Rantoul High School. She worked as an assembler at Bendix King and E & E Specialty for a number of years.
She married Charles Jones on Oct. 4, 1959, in Pine Castle, Fla. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Lucinda Christoffersen, Lawrence; a son, Timothy, Kansas City, Kan.; three sisters, Bertha White, LaCygne, Esther Vink, Pine City, Minn., and Joanna Burchette, Eudora; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will meet friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary, Lawrence.
