Douglas A. Rumple 1956 - 2009 Wichita
Wichita — A Memorial Mass for Douglas A. “Tony” Rumple, 52, Wichita, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 307 E. Central Ave., Wichita. A celebration of life will follow at the Orpheum Theatre, 200 N. Broadway St., Wichita.
Mr. Rumple died Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, in Wichita.
He was born Oct. 25, 1956, in Wichita, the son of George and Nina Montanaro Rumple. He graduated from Bishop Carroll High School and attended Kansas University.
Mr. Rumple worked in the family drugstore and spent summers volunteering at the Cerebral Palsy Ranch in Augusta. After graduating from Curls hair academy in Lawrence, he was a stylist at Hair Force and Strands, where he was a co-owner. He also worked at LaDage and most recently at 3 Elements Salon in East Wichita.
Survivors include a sister, Grace “Anna” Halstead, Homer, Ark.; and a brother, Philip, Woodstock, Ga.
A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Sunday at the cathedral.
