Funeral services for Edna Conrad Shackelford, 84, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will be in Reno Cemetery in Reno.
She died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, in Lawrence.
She was born June 5, 1925, in Reno, the daughter of Alfred Adam and Irene Casteele Jones. She graduated from De Soto High School.
She and her husband owned Conrad Electric and Plumbing from 1969 to 1995.
She married Jack Eugene Conrad on July 26, 1945, in De Soto. He preceded her in death July 5, 1985. She later married AW Shackelford on May 15, 1992. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include one daughter, Jacque Conrad, Texas; four sons, Lenny Conrad, Brett Shackelford and Bryan Shackelford, all of Lawrence, and Brad Shackelford, Lecompton; two brothers, Bud Jones, Tonganoxie, and Ed Jones, Brownsville, Texas; two sisters, Helena Webb, of Oregon, and Janet Kalin, of Oregon; 11 grandchildren, Donna Spencer, Doug Kilburn, Chrissy Allen, Randy Conrad Jr., Michael Shackelford, Chelsie Shackelford, Austin Shackelford, Kyle Shackelford, Katelyn Shackelford, Corey Shackelford, and Tucker Shackelford; and four great-grandchildren, Bethany Kilburn, Nickolas Kilburn, Dakota Taggart and Jonathan Spencer.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Randy Conrad Sr., in 2002.
The family will greet friends from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to Relay for Life, sent in care of the mortuary.
