Marjorie Ann Peine Clovis

Mass of Christian Burial for Marjorie Ann Peine Clovis, 70, Lawrence, will be at noon Friday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
She died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 13, 1939, in Greeley, the daughter of Maurice and Marie Otten Peine.
Mrs. Clovis worked at Hallmark Cards. She retired in 1992. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, and was a lifelong member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Alford-Clarke Post 852 in Lawrence. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and the Women’s Guild at Corpus Christi.
She married James H. Clovis on July 28, 1973, in Greeley. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two brothers, Joe Peine and wife Wilma, and Tom Peine and wife Marcia, all of Greeley; three sisters, Roberta and husband Mike Thomas, Tucson, Ariz., Patty Owings, Wellsville, and Judy and husband Gary Brock, Lenexa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, and the family will meet friends until 8:30 p.m. at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to Corpus Christi Catholic Church or a charity of the donor’s choice, sent in care of the mortuary.
