Leonard Morton Schneider

No services are planned for Leonard Morton Schneider, 77, Lawrence.
Mr. Schneider died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, in Lawrence. He had lung cancer.
He was born March 19, 1932, in New York City, the son of Samuel and Evelyn Siegelbaum Schneider.
He studied theater at the College of William and Mary, and received a master’s degree in theater from Kansas University.
Mr. Schneider was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He had worked as an artist/painter, as well as a security guard with the KU police and a director and writer at Centron Corporation. He had also worked as a cameraman on “The Patty Duke Show” and was a freelance photographer for Life magazine and “Candid Camera.” He was an actor in the films “Jamboree” (1957) and “Red Ball Express” (1952).
He married Jo Anna March on May 10, 1959, in New York City. They divorced in November 1985. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, Paul M., Los Angeles, and John M., Overland Park; and a sister, Lita Schneider Koenig, New Rochelle, N.Y.
