Gail Heim

A memorial Mass for Gail Heim, 63, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
Mrs. Heim died on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born on June 18, 1946, in Wichita, the daughter of Thomas A. and Velda McIntosh Lowery.
Mrs. Heim graduated in 1969 from Kansas University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy. She currently worked part-time for Heartland Home Care as a pharmacist. Previously, she worked at an Osco Drug in the Chicago area for 32 years.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was also a member of the KU Alumni Association.
She married James M. Heim on April 24, 1971, in Shawnee Mission. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include a son, John and wife Marnie, Batavia, Ill.; and a sister, Nora Kaschube, Lawrence.
The family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A wake service will begin at 7 p.m.
