Rae A. Redd

A celebration of life for Rae A. Redd, 61, Lawrence, will be at noon Saturday at the Eagles Lodge in Oskaloosa. Cremation is planned.
Mrs. Redd died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 31, 1947, in Topeka, the daughter of Raymond Albert and Phelia “Blondie” Meyers McFarland. She obtained her GED through Lawrence public schools.
Mrs. Redd was a homemaker and had worked for the Lawrence Journal-World. She enjoyed country dancing and spending time with family.
She married Arthur V. Redd in Las Vegas. He died Sept. 5, 2001.
She was also preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include three sons, Kevin Gann and wife Molly, Lawrence, Charles Gann, Great Bend, and Jeff Gann, Oskaloosa; two daughters, Michelle Shaver and husband Rufus, Valley Falls, and Jenifer Bell and husband Mike, McLouth; her mother, Oskaloosa; two sisters, Janice Langdon and husband Jules, Horton, and Pat Noble and husband Edwin, Oskaloosa; two brothers, Jim McFarland and wife Ellen, Carbondale, and Rick McFarland and wife Amanda, Pomona; ten grandchildren, Randy Johnson Jr., Jerry and Joseph Johnson, Emily Bell, Katie, Kevin, Brandon and Jake Gann, Elizabeth Shaver and Rufus Shaver III; three great-grandchildren, Jesica, Jasmine and Julie Anne; and several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, 601 Ind., Lawrence KS 66044.
