Temple Harless Tillman

Temple H. Tillman, age 80, of Lawrence, Kansas, peacefully passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009, in Lawrence. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 6, 2009, at the McLane Chapel, Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri, with burial in Englewood Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at McLane Chapel, Clinton. Family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association and may be left in care of the funeral home. Tim will be remembered for his boundless smile, quick wit and a warm welcome for all.
He graduated from Clinton High School, Class of 1946. He attended Central Missouri State at Warrensburg, Missouri, for two years, transferred to Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, graduating in 1950 with a B.A.
Captain Tillman served in the Korean War and continued to volunteer his services in the Vietnam War as a U.S. Naval Aviator. He continued his service to his country and received an honorable discharge in 1988. He retired in 1993, where he was division manager for Waddell and Reed, Inc., St. Louis, Missouri.
Captain Tillman married Marjorie Jane McGee, May 16, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Jane Tillman, of Lawrence, Kansas; son Donald Jason Tillman and his wife Tracy McCubbin Tillman; son Bodie Gary Tillman of Denver, Colorado; daughter Shana Elizabeth (Tillman) Good and husband Kevin Good and their two children Satori Rose and Salvador Shea Good, of Lawrence, Kansas.
He was dearly loved and admired, and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
