Nancy Ann Leipzig

Memorial services for Nancy Ann Leipzig, 71, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church. Mrs. Leipzig donated her body to the Kansas University Medical Center.
She died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 25, 1938, in Waukesha, Wis., the daughter of Einar C. and Erva White Abrahamson. She graduated from Waukesha High School in 1956. She later graduated from Wisconsin State College with a degree in elementary education.
Mrs. Leipzig taught fourth and fifth grade in Waukesha from 1960 to 1974. From 1975 to 1986, she and her husband owned and operated Bel-Air Motor Inn in Mount Vernon, Mo. From 1986 to 1988, they owned and operated the Ramada Inn in Lawrence. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She married John E. “Jack” Leipzig in 1960 in Waukesha. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Jay C. and wife Sheryl, of Kansas City, Mo., and Michael J., Lawrence; a brother, Ronald Abrahamson and wife Nancy, Waukesha; and two grandchildren, Tatiana and Maria.
The family will receive friends after the service.
