Donald E. Cobb

Graveside services with military honors for Donald E. Cobb, 85, Lawrence, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Cobb died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at his residence.
He was born April 30, 1924, in Marysville, the son of Everett Sr. and Rose Cline Cobb. He attended schools in Marysville and later served as a medic in the U.S Army, where he earned the Good Conduct Medal.
Mr. Cobb worked for many years at Cooperative Farm Chemicals Association. He also owned and managed rental properties. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Dorsey-Liberty Post 14 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Alford-Clarke Post 852, both of Lawrence.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Flory and husband Stan, Baldwin City; a stepdaughter, Saundra Pichelman and husband John, Lawrence; a stepson, David Thomas and wife Mary, St. George, Utah; two grandchildren, Jason Flory and Gretchen Flory Trendel; and five great-grandchildren, Kaylee, MacKenzie and Caleb Flory, and Addy and Gracie Trendel.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Everett Cobb Jr. and Lyle Wayne Cobb.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will receive them from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
