Helen Ida Ingram 1917 - 2009 Lawrence
Funeral services for Helen Ida Ingram, 92, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
She died Monday, March 9, 2009, at Presbyterian Manor.
She was born Jan. 4, 1917, in Independence, Kan., the daughter of Walter Joseph and Ida Mae Fletcher Murray.
She worked at Stokely-Van Camp for 15 years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she was very involved in Bible studies and church activities.
She married Carl David Ingram on Jan. 29, 1936, in Coffeyville. He preceded her in death Jan. 26, 1996.
A son, Larry Ingram, and a granddaughter also died earlier.
Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte Holland, San Saba, Texas, Sharon White, Franklin, Tenn., and Barbara “Jody” Hackathorn, Lawrence; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association or to Heart of America Hospice, sent in care of the mortuary.
