Terry Ann Barker 1956 - 2009 Topeka
A funeral Mass for Terry Ann Barker, 52, Topeka, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Topeka, with a graveside service to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence.
Mrs. Barker died Thursday, March 5, 2009, at her home in Topeka.
She was born on June 15, 1956, in Lawrence, the daughter of Delbert Monroe McCall and Nina Pearl Buck.
Mrs. Barker ran a home day care for 20 years before retiring in 2003 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
She married Bill Barker. He survives.
Other survivors include her mother, Topeka; a brother, Thomas McCall, Lawrence; a sister, Sandra Bogner, Lecompton; two sons, Matthew Wurm and wife Karen, and Will Barker, all of Topeka; and two daughters, Tobey Bissell and husband David, and Elizabeth Gilbert and husband Eric, all of Topeka; and eight grandchildren, Jordan and Logan Bissell, Matthew, Korey, Tyler and Kailey Wurm, and Jacob and Justin Gilbert.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
The family suggests memorials to her grandchildren’s education fund, Blue Cross Blue Shield Credit Union, P.O. Box 1975, Topeka, KS 66601, sent in care of Tobey Bissell.
