Emmett A. Casey 1918 - 2009 Berryton
Stull — Funeral services for Emmett A. Casey, 90, Berryton, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Stull United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Stull Cemetery.
Mr. Casey died Thursday, March 5, 2009, at his home.
He was born Aug. 22, 1918, in El Dorado Springs, Mo., the son of Scott and Essie Wharton Casey.
Mr. Casey was a lifelong farmer of the area.
He married Eola M. Stull on Jan. 12, 1958, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include a sister, Novallene Bernhardt, Tecumseh; 18 nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Olin, Wharton and Cecil; and a sister, Ella Walter.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will receive them from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The family suggests memorials to the Douglas County Visiting Nurses, Rehabilitation and Hospice Care, sent in care of the funeral home.
