Frances Barbara Nottage

Mass of Christian Burial for Frances Barbara Nottage, 87, of Sugar Creek, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Independence. Graveside services will follow at Mound Grove Cemetery in Independence.
Mrs. Nottage died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009.
She was born April 17, 1921, in Sugar Creek, the daughter of Joseph Bruson and Frances Helen Berislavic.
She married Richard Daniel “Dick” Nottage Jr. on Feb. 9, 1946, in Sugar Creek. He preceded her in death in 2005.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Wood and husband Keith, Lawrence, Kan., and Kathleen Minner and husband Rodger, of Independence; a son, Richard J. Nottage and wife Carol, of Kansas City; a brother, George Bruson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Carson-Speaks Chapel in Independence, where a rosary will be said at 6 p.m.
