Naoma Belle Batman 1915 - 2009 Garden City

Ingalls — A funeral mass for Naoma Belle Batman, 94, Garden City, will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Ingalls. Burial will follow at the Cimarron Cemetery, Cimarron.
Mrs. Batman died Saturday, June 13, 2009, at the Homestead Health and Rehabilitation Center in Garden City.
She was born May 2, 1915, in Ingalls, the daughter of Wilson and Evaline Stinemetz Barton. She graduated from Ingalls High School in 1933. She lived in Gray County and Ingalls until 1984 when she moved to Garden City, where she had lived since.
Mrs. Batman was a homemaker and a farm wife. She worked for a short time at Farmers State Bank in Ingalls. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Ingalls and a member of the Altar Society.
She married Harold G. Batman on Oct. 13, 1934. He preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1978.
Survivors include two sons, Gordon Dennis Batman, Garden City, and Harold Robert “Butch” Batman, McLouth; two daughters, Mary Louise Rohrbaugh, Caldwell, and Constance Suzanne Janzen, Kinsley; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Gray County Historical Society or Doc Barton, sent in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N. Seventh St., Garden City, KS 67846.
