Ronald Dean Sellers

Memorial services with military honors for Ronald Dean Sellers, 65, Lawrence, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Lawrence, with the Rev. Marshall I. J. Lackrone officiating. Inurnment will be at Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie.
Mr. Sellers died Sunday, June 7, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 28, 1943, in Horton, the son of Ernst Dwight and Doris E. McBride Sellers. He graduated from Atchison High School, and later served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Sellers was a carpenter for Facilities Operations at Kansas University for 34 years. He was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God.
He married Judy Kay Field on April 30, 1963, in Leavenworth. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Daniel and wife Laura, Lawrence; a sister, Susan Ozias, Kansas City, Kan.; and a grandson, Cody.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will receive them from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, sent in care of the funeral home.
