Maxine Davis Harrison

Maxine Davis Harrison, age 90, of Baldwin City, KS, passed away Friday, July 24, 2009, at her home.
She was born July 12, 1919, on a farm near Lamoni, Iowa, the daughter of Emma (Davis) and Lee Roy Elliott.
Maxine married Louis Alfred Harrison on July 28, 1941. They made their home in Baldwin City, where they raised five children. Maxine took pride in establishing her home and running it. She was well known for quilting, canning and cooking; however, she devoted the majority of her time to her family.
Maxine is survived by her daughter, Beverly Seeley and her husband, Olin, of Johnston, CO; sons, Marlin and his wife Zarah of Anza, CA, Brian and his wife Micky of McLouth, KS and Jay and his wife Beverly of Osage City, KS; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, infant son, Vincent Eugene, daughter, Donna Lee Hill, her parents and all of her seven siblings.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, at Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City, KS. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin City, KS.
