Louie John “Pete” Milleret

Funeral services for Louie John “Pete” Milleret, 90, Linwood, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Milleret died Sunday, July 12, 2009, at The Windsor of Lawrence.
He was born March 15, 1919, in Linwood, the son of Louie Joseph and Mary Reimer Milleret. He attended schools in Linwood, and later served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Milleret was a farmer and stockman in the Linwood area for many years.
He married Martha A. Hayden on April 18, 1948, in Lawrence. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Mark, Linwood; a daughter, Phyllis Reeves, Kansas City, Mo.; a sister, Bertha Wise, Lawrence; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The family suggests memorials to The Salvation Army or Habitat for Humanity of Lawrence, sent in care of the funeral home, 601 Ind., Lawrence, KS 66044.
