Patricia Ware

Funeral service for Patricia “Tatoe” Ware, 63, Anadarko, Okla., will be at 10 a.m. today at Redstone Baptist Church in Anadarko. Burial will follow at Redstone Cemetery under the direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home.
Ms. Ware died Tuesday, July 7, 2009.
She was born Sept. 8, 1945, in Lawton, Okla., the daughter of Wilson Mauchahty and Pearl Pewo Ware. She graduated from Broxton High School in 1963.
Ms. Ware attended Cosmetology School in Muskogee for two years. She was a member of Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma, Kiowa War Mothers, Kiowa War Mothers Chaplain and their recording secretary. Ms. Ware worked at the Anadarko Gallery of Art for 18 years.
She married Samuel Murrow James Jr. on March 12, 1965. They were married for 21 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Jenny Lynn, Lawrence, Kan., and LaQuinta Vanette, Anadarko; two sons, Samuel Murrow James III, of the home, and William Lewis James, Lawrence; seven brothers, William Gene Ware, Anadarko, Thomas Mauchahty-Ware II, Anadarko, Clifton O. Miller, Ft. Cobb, Okla., Gaylon Charles Miller, Hinton, Okla., MacArthur Silverhorn, Anadarko, Robert Jewell Pewo, Apache, Okla., and John Allen Pewo Sr., Apache; six sisters, Frankie Ware, Anadarko, Jennie Marie Ware, Anadarko, Clarissa “Tweeky” Ware, Tuttle, Okla., Paula Pewo Peterson, Anadarko, Glenda Pewo Mendez, Lawton, and Ruby James Sleeper, Geary, Okla.; and three grandchildren.
