Paul Stump

Stull – Memorial services for Paul Stump, 58, Berryton, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Stull United Methodist Church. Cremation is planned, with scattering of ashes during a flyover of Clinton Lake at a later date.
Mr. Stump died Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at his home.
He was born Jan. 20, 1951, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Ferman and Marjorie Mann Stump. He graduated from Liberty High School in Missouri and attended William Jewell College.
Mr. Stump was a firefighter and emergency medical technician in Liberty in the 1970s. He also owned and operated Stump’s Gun Shop in Liberty. He was employed for many years at Garmin in Olathe and then joined the avionics team at Garmin at New Century AirCenter until his early retirement in March 2009.
He was a member of the Douglas County Ham Radio Club, ARRL and numerous wildlife, environmental and humane organizations. He was a former licensed private pilot and attended Stull United Methodist Church.
He married Nancy Hunter Harding on June 15, 2002, at their home. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include his mother, Chillicothe, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Holly Hagman, Overland Park; a stepson, Logan Harding, Lawrence; and a brother, Dave, Platte City, Mo.
The family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Humane Society, sent in care of Lawrence Funeral Chapel, 3821 W. Sixth St., Lawrence, KS 66049.
