Ruth White 1922 - 2009 Fremont, Calif.
A celebration of life for Ruth White, 86, Fremont, Calif., will be held at a later date.
Mrs. White died Saturday, June 13, 2009, in Hayward, Calif.
She was born Dec. 3, 1922, in St. Louis, the daughter of Frank Williams and Edna Renner. She moved to Lawrence in 1968.
Mrs. White attended Kansas University and worked for the Museum of Natural History at KU from 1974 to 1981.
She married Wesley White on July 1, 1967, in Clayton, Mo. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Richard Pohlman and John Pohlman; three daughters, Lynda Kiehne, Andrea Koppel and Sara McMechan; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to a charity of the donor’s choice or to KU Endowment Association for the benefit of the Natural History Museum, sent in care of KU Endowment, P.O. Box 928, Lawrence, KS 66044-0928.
