Margaret E. Rainwater 1928 - 2009 Lawrence
Memorial service for Margaret “Peggy” E. Rainwater, 80, Lawrence, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Centenary United Methodist Church in Lawrence. She donated her body to the Kansas University Hospital Willed Body Program. Mrs. Rainwater died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at Brandon Woods at Alvamar. She was born April 21, 1928, in Detroit, the daughter of August and Myrtle Marie Hill Schackow. Mrs. Rainwater was a homemaker. She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church.She married Louis Rainwater on April 17, 1949, in Everest. They later divorced. Survivors include one son, Dennis Robert, St. Joseph, Mo.; two daughters, Terry Schwartz, near Seymour, Mo., and Lori Eberle, Panama City, Fla.; five grandchildren, Christian, Aaron, Elizabeth, Samuel and Pricilla; and five great-grandsons.
