Wilma Ruth Graber

A funeral service for Wilma Ruth Graber, 92, Newton, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Mennonite Church in Newton.Mrs. Graber died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, at Kidron Bethel Healthcare in North Newton.She was born Oct. 5, 1916, near Weatherford, Okla., the daughter of John T. and Ida Stucky Albrecht. She was raised on a farm in rural Kingman County. She attended Bethel College in North Newton.She was a member of the First Mennonite Church in Newton. She volunteered at the Etcetera Shop in Newton and enjoyed playing dominoes with her many friends.She married Harvey N. Graber in 1938. He preceded her in death on Aug. 23, 1982.Survivors include four sons, Max, Salina, Ron, Des Moines, Iowa, Michael, Huntington Beach, Calif., and Tony, Newton; two daughters, Corliss Young, Kingman, and Judy Johnson, Lawrence; a sister, Luella Fotopolos, Wichita; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Petersen Funeral Home in Newton, where the family will receive them from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.The family suggests memorials to First Mennonite Church, Kidron Bethel Village or Bethel College, sent in care of the funeral home, 215 N.
