Milan B. Reed 1927 - 2009 Lenexa
Shawnee — Memorial services for Milan B. Reed, 81, Lenexa, will be at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Harvest Ridge Covenant Church in Shawnee.Mr. Reed died Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at his home.He was born July 9, 1927, in Dodgeville, Wis., and had lived in Lenexa for 36 years.Mr. Reed was employed as an animal nutritionist with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture. He retired in 1990. He was a member of Harvest Ridge Covenant Church.He married Lucille Reed, and they shared 56 years of marriage. She preceded him in death.Mr. Reed also was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a granddaughter.Survivors include two daughters, Susan Evers and husband James, and Marianne Reed and husband Tim Weston, Lawrence; two sons, Alan and Philip; two brothers, Dean and Vernon; a sister, Fern Cook; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.The family suggests memorials to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S.
