Lawrence K. Hunsaker 1931 - 2009 Elwood
Funeral services for Lawrence K. Hunsaker, 76, Elwood, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel in De Soto. Graveside services will be at Wellsville Cemetery. Mr. Hunsaker died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009. He was born March 13, 1931, in Centerville, the son of Kenneth and Hazel Hunsaker. He grew up around Union Town and joined the Army in 1954. Mr. Hunsaker lived in Eudora for 45 years. He worked at KP&L for 40 years and retired in 1992.He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling in his camper and fishing. He married JoAnn Tesch on May 23, 1954. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, Larry and wife Paula, Elwood, and Gene, Kincaid; seven grandchildren, Chad and Diane Hunsaker, Shawn and Tammy Jonas, Ryan Dancer, and Sissy and John Conrad; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Roy and wife Sheila, Olathe. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral chapel. The family suggests memorials to Davita Dialysis, 5514 Corporate Drive, St. Joseph, MO 64507.
