Kenneth Roy Sheaffer 1933 - 2008 Tonganoxie
Tonganoxie — A memorial service for Kenneth Roy Sheaffer, 75, Tonganoxie, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Tonganoxie. Mr. Sheaffer died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, at Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.He was born March 27, 1933, in Adel, Iowa, the son of Martin and Anna McVey Sheaffer. Mr. Sheaffer was a graduate of McPherson College in Kansas. He attended Chicago University for one year of graduate studies. He worked for the Social Security Administration office in Kansas City, Mo. Mr. Sheaffer was a member of the United Methodist Church in Tonganoxie.He married Shirley Ann Heck on Sept. 16, 1961, in Des Moines, Iowa. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, Martin, Fort Worth, Texas, and Vernon, Tonganoxie; one brother, Jim, Chadron, Neb.; and one granddaughter.The family suggests memorials to the Good Shepherd Thrift Shop or the United Methodist Church, sent in care of Quisenberry Funeral Home, P.O.
