Edna Baker 1906 - 2009 Omaha, Neb.
Funeral services for Edna Baker, 102, Omaha, Neb., will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lawrence.She died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, at Brighton Gardens in Omaha.Mrs. Baker was born Aug. 30, 1906, in Rock County, Minn., the daughter of Halvor and Laura Rossum Halvorsen. She was a longtime resident of Lawrence.Mrs. Baker was a teacher and a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lawrence.She married Ralph V. Baker on June 3, 1944, in Hills, Minn. He died Nov. 13, 2008.She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie Spears.Survivors include a daughter, Karen Spears and husband Steven, Omaha; a granddaughter, Julianne Spears; and a great-stepgrandson, Alex Caceres.The family suggests memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church in Lawrence, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
