Wilma Jean Hobson

Memorial services for Wilma Jean Hobson, 81, Hutchinson, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin City.
Mrs. Hobson died Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, at her home.
She was born July 13, 1927, in Eureka, the daughter of Clarence and Ina May Davis Showalter. She graduated from Baldwin High School in 1946.
Mrs. Hobson was a homemaker and a resident of Hutchinson since 1964. She worked in the shoe departments for Pegues, J.C. Penney and the Bootery.
She was a member of Ives Chapel Methodist Church, Baldwin City, and a women’s bowling team.
She married James Hobson on Nov. 11, 1955, in Baldwin City. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Chris Hobson, Buhler; a daughter, Kay Lynn Cooper, Kansas City, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory in Hutchinson.
